Who I am:

Warren Zev Haft is the pseudonym for Warren Firschein. Under my real name, I've written several middle grade books, including Out of Synch, the popular novel about the sport of synchronized swimming. Previously, I was the co-founder and managing editor of Odet, a literary journal published between 2017-2020. I am also the co-author of A Brief History of Safety Harbor, Florida, published by The History Press in 2013. I grew up in New Jersey, and I am a graduate of the University of Rochester, the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where I served as an editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review, and Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business. Until recently, I was an attorney for the Federal Communications Commission.

Why Use a Pseudonym?

When I became a full-time writer, I decided use a name that people can read, pronounce, and remember. The name I am using was my mother's maiden name, and I am proud to adopt it as my own.
